pMDIs remain an essential part of respiratory care and continue to evolve alongside the NHS’s environmental priorities to meet both a clinical and environmental need.  All inhalers have a carbon footprint across their lifecycle, so meaningful and sustained carbon emissions reduction depends on improving technologies and maintaining effective disease control, not simply changing device type.8,12–14
